Computers and The Future

Technology and computers are going to be a big part of our lives in the future. In so many instances, they have become for the children of today, second nature.

At Taska Suriaku we cannot help but get actively into this computer age via this Blog and also by procuring computers with children friendly software and lessons for our centres. So far we have introduced one personal computer per centre and each day give the children some education and playing time on them.

Fogging Mosquitos

Dear Parents, we wish to inform you that we are having our regular mosquito fogging this weekend at all our centers. This will be conducted in the evening after the children have gone home.

Here we take this opportunity to wish all our parents and families "Happy Deepavali" and Selamat Hari Raya.

Our Blog

I started this blog in July intending to allow children and parents to have a better idea of who we are, what we do and what they are a part of.

In the last 3 months it has been interesting to see the Blog grow with more photographs and descriptions of activities that we have undertaken and the occasional comments from parents on our blog.

Unfortunately, right now, I do not have the capacity, or the experience to fully utilise the blog well, and so have decided at this stage not to stretch myself into having a comment facility on this blog.

So ... I have decided to do my best in keeping all of you up to date on this blog and for the time being keep the channels of feedback from children and parents on a more personal basis, face to face and have my phone ready so that you can call me anytime.

I am sure some parents will be dissapointed that they cannot participate in a more active manner online, bear with us, we will activate comments again once we are ready.

First Aid Training 1st October 2006

First Aid Training

We have had our First Aid Training for our staff. It turned out that the trainer knew me from the days in Negeri Sembilan when I was a young girl. How strange and wonderful.

Many parents unfortunately could not join us for the training because we had many children who were unwell from Chicken Pox. Well, better to have chicken pox while you are young, I guess.

The training went very well and we hope that it has prepared us better in case of emergency's in our school and also outside of it.

We thank the support given by parents and hope that next time, parents who were unable to attend this session will be able to join us in the next session.
